I posted this on the [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] last week but thought I would share it here for easy access.

First off, you can always tell the color of the "core" by the strip along the bottom (and the back). So in this case, the core is a pinkish/redish color:

Next, you want to emboss from the back so the raised {embossed} image is on the front, that way when you sand the core will show through.

It will look like this from the back:

and this from the front:

Now it is time to sand! wahoo!

I love to use my BG Precision Filing set but you can use any sanding tool you have.
