| Does anyone do yoga? My mom swears by it and always says how much better she's feeling when she does it! I am thinking of starting to do some yoga and meditation..my body is just exhausted and I need something to help out....just wondering if any of you has ever tried it or still doing it. | |

| I don't but our Dr. suggested to my dh that it would be a great thing for him to get into doing to relieve his stress. I 'd imagine is would be very beneficial. | |

| yeah, I know...b/t my mom and a friend of mine...they are definitely gonna talk me into it! I think my body could definitely use it. My body just feels like it is in a state of total exhaustion lately. I think from just being sick too much and not getting enough rest. So I need to start doing something to help it out! | |

This is so WEIRD that you posted this because just last night I did a bunch of research on yoga. I am signed up for Groupon.com and there was a Groupon expiring last night for Yoga classes 5 for $25. Since I have fibromyalgia though, I looked into what type of yoga they teach and whether it was recommended for fibromyalgia. I ended up deciding to buy thisYoga DVD taught by a woman who has FMS and has healed herself with yoga from what I understand. Amazing reviews. Thisis an article about how she went from being fully functioning before FMS to being bed-ridden to healing herself with Yoga. The type of yoga by the way that I decided I wanted to do was IYENGAR. | |

| Years ago a friend of mine tried to get me to do yoga and I wouldnt do it bc I was weired out about the controlled breathing aspect (just a neurosis of mine lol) . Anyway, somehow I went in 2002 and I have been a convert ever since. Now if I dont go 2ce a week I get crabby--really crabby. I dont go to a hardcore yoga studio, I just take classes at my gym--24 Hr Fitness, but the one teacher I've found I LOVE. My advice is to try a class somewhere (lots of places offer a first free class) and if you DONT like it, try someplace else because every class can be completely different. Some are more meditative, some are hard workouts, some instructors focus on holding poses, some focus on the stretching etc etc. | |

| I tried it for the first time last fall at a women's retreat with my church. I quite enjoyed it. I was just asking the woman who had led the class the other day if she would be leading any classes this fall. | |
