| wow! i sewed a lot back in the day. i even learned "factory" sewing. never had to pin a thing. when i got a sewing machine to sew on my lo's and toyed with idea of making clothes - anything, i went out to look at patterns and material. OMG! its so not cost efficient really in this day and age - patterns are a fortune (if you don't have some from back in the day LOL) and material isn't what it used to be sadly. there was a time when it was so worth it. but now....maybe if i was a designer, but honestly i can't sew w/o a pattern lol!!! | |

| I so agree. I wanted to learn how to sew so I went to my local sewing store and took a privat lesson to make a sling bag. I did learn how to use my machine, read a pattern and rottary cut but until I was finished the lessons only cost $17. but the pattern and material cost $70. That is just crazy!
But I do like to look at others talents. | |

| How seriously fun! I wouldn't have the time, patience and commitment to do something like this! It wouldn't be as easy trying to work around my granny panties and full figure bra either... after 3 kids, nothing is where I left it! I love the premise of this though... make use of what you have and spend $1 a day! Reuse and recycle, right?
Thanks for sharing! | |
