I have ANTS in my CAR!

WTH??? How the heck do ANTS get in my suburban??? I opened the door to go to work this morning and my entire drivers seat was covered with ants and then the whole drive to work I kept seeing more on my dashboard and console. I don't know where they are coming from!!!!

Isn't that so strange? HOW did they get in there???

i have found a few here and there but not like that! YUCK!

maybe you have food under your seat? those little buggers can get anywhere, i swear!

hahahaha - oh I can almost BET I have food under my seat - I haven't cleaned my car out since our family vacation in July...I know...ewwwww

I guess this is good enough reason to go get it washed today. I still feel like i have them crawling on me. I have the heebie jeebies right now

oooooh, for some reason ants creep me out more than spiders. they are so fast and twitchy .... i wouldn't have been able to drive! how did you get rid of them?

girl ants, in ms, in a veh with crumbs...yes, yes they will find a way to invade! ESP if you're parked near or on grass ...i cant stand them!

Carrie - they creep me out too! I had a HARD time driving to work this morning. I kept thinking they were crawling on me. I had to spray my car with raid. Then at lunch I went to vacuum it out. It smells something awful in there with all that raid. I have to go home after work and really clean that thing out with armor all and a blasting gun. ROFLMAO

And Suzanne - you're right. I do park in the driveway right next to the grass and out here we get ants ALL. THE. TIME. I've just never seen them in my car before!

My husband said that's what I get for not cleaning out my car after our 9 day road trip back in July.
ha- smart@$$ he is. It's just crazy that we are just NOW getting them but maybe it's the weather we've been having or something. Who knows. I should know better.

Maybe this will teach me a lesson to actually wash my car more than once a year. It's just a pain when you have 3 kids and live in a place like MIssissippi where it's just too dang hot and humid to want to go wash your car. wah wah wah

renee, i heard on the news the other day that ants are out in swarms this year.

lucky you huh? i had the little suckers in my kitchen for 2 months! nasty little boogers!

we had them in our house..the little ones...and they are a pain....they got in our dogfood in the garage and i couldn't get rid of them so we needed an exterminator. I felt so dirty but what can you do? he told me there were a few nests outside...GROSS.

I am with you Carrie, they give me the creepy crawlies!

If it weren't for brain my car would be a disaster for sure!

I don't like ants anywhere anytime! They are the peskiest little things and gross me out too! I haven't heard of them being in a car but I'd imagine they can get in anywhere they want! I've seem them get into airtight containers before....how, I'll never know!

Good luck getting rid of them.

swarms huh? Super.....I know we have them everywhere outside. They are CONSTANTLY getting into the dogs food dish. It's so gross. Maybe I need to get some chalk and start making chalk lines everyone. hahahahahaha

I would put an ant bomb in your car for the night then go and clean it in the moring. Yuck! Gives me the creepies just thinking abou it.

ahhhh Ants, only thing I like about winter, knocks them on the head althrough out Summer our house is invaded, most the time they are searching for water here.

We've had them in our car too, found them in the back all over the kids car seats and then we found the food under the seats lol.



In our old place we use to get meat ants in our house, they would crawl up the hand rails of the stairs and into the house. Was the worst.

Better than ants in your pants, right? What a big fat bummer! I've heard bugs are insane this year with all of the rain and humidity. You should see the dragonflies around here... wow! Cool and creepy all at the same time... oodles of them!

I bet that would be cool (and creepy) - dragonflies aren't too bad but if there's a ton of them that may freak me out a little - LOL

I remember one year when I was still living in Fort Worth, Texas it was the worst weather we've had with the heat and humidity - I think this was back in 1999 - 2000?? Anyway - I remember the grasshoppers were so bad it was almost like the a cloud. It was disgusting.

And I got rid of the ants from my car. I spent 2 hours scrubbing and vacuuming and armor alling the inside of my car. I don't think it's been this clean since I bought it new 5 years ago! Tom also sprayed bug killer along the doors and windows and the inside to keep them out. Hopefully that does the trick.
