I was in middle school/high school theatre since 6th grade! I can't even begin to remember all the plays we did!
I KNOW we did C.S. Lewis's
The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (I was Lucy), one year, and I think the year after we
"I Never saw Another Butterfly." We also did,
The Glass Menagerie by Tennessee Williams and
Our Town by Thorton Wilder once too. For One act competition one year 4 of us girls did the play by Aurand Lewis titled
Ladies of the Mop. LOVED it and if I remember correctly we took second place! Being we were a smaller school we did a lot of less popular plays and seldom any musicals.
In college, I worked in costuming for 2 or 3 years. Costumed
The Pirates of Pensance, South Pacific,
Noises Off,
Our Town (again) and a BUNCH of student performed and written one acts!
My eldest caught the acting bug in middle school and performed in two plays in middle school and one so far in high school. Last year they did
M.A.S.H. and he played Ho Jon. Quite funny actually - a very red headed, Irish boy playing a very dark haired Korean!
Blessings,
Garsy
