| Baah! 5 people = a TON of laundry, it's insanity! Seriously! I do 2 - 3 loads a DAY. There has to be a better way. How much laundry do you do a day/week??? | |

| I know y'all are going to think I'm crazy but I only do laundry one day a week. On Sundays. I do about 6-7 loads that day and that will bring it down to zero loads.
Sometimes when it gets behind I will try to start a load on Friday night. | |

| I'm sure my answer will change once I have a newborn breaking my normal routine.......but that's how I grew up. My mom was the same way. Sundays were cleaning and laundry days. It comes honest. | |

| I am a lucky duck when it comes to laundry! My daughter did her own laundry from the time she was about 13 or 14. Hubby doesn't want me to touch his! He loves to do his own believe it or not! No, I have never ruined anything of his, he just prefers to do it himself. So that leaves just my own laundry to do which I can knock out in just a couple of loads a week! | |

| I tend to spread it out - one load a day mostly. | |

| saturday is my washing day. i try to leave sunday's for doing nothing. however, now with tom traveling i find myself doing smaller loads more often and they get done faster instead taking all day. so i'm leaning toward small and fast. lol! | |

| I have 5 people in my house too. I do 1-2 loads a day. It drives me crazy to do it all at once. If I do a little everyday it doesn't get out of control. | |

| laundry is one of those chores i love to do. {that and vacuuming} when its just me and hubby i do laundry twice a week .... i wouldn't have to, but i like it caught up all the time ... when my son comes home from college in the summer and on Christmas break i usually do a load or 2 every day. | |

| I feel the pain of the 5 household girls and the laundry that is required. URGH!! We have 6 in our house. Myself, my DH, 15 yr.girl, 8 yr boy, 6 yr girl, and 11 mo girl. Did I miss any? hhmm?
Here's how we do it in our house...(notice I said "we").
The 15 yr old does her own(a different day than ours), The 8 & 6 yr old sort their own and put it in foldable colored baskets(a white one, a blue one, and a black one)The color of the load goes in the matching basket. I tell myself this helps with their colors..lol!!
I sort mine and my husbands, then add to the same colored baskets with the kids laundry. All the baskets take a walk to the laundry room, where I wash, dry, hang(I don't dry very much), Then the foldable items go in the same colored basket into the family room and the kids fold them while they watch their favorite TV show. We don't watch much TV in our house, so the kids love that they "get" to watch TV and don't notice the laundry as much. Then they all carry their own folded piles up to their rooms.
Well, it took me as long to type this as is does to do my laundry. lol!! AND, WOW!! I sound anal don't I?? Really, I'm not that bad..I do a LOT for my family. I promise I'm not a slave woman. There are just a lot of us around here and it gets to be too much for just one person.
Ok I'm done. So I'll bet you all feel better about your laundry now right?? LOL!!

| Kristi, I'm wore out just from "reading" how you do your laundry! You have an awesome family though with some great kids! You're doing something right! | |

| Kristi - WOW girl! I am impressed! I WISH I was that organized....I love the idea of the bins and having the kids do their own sorting! | |
