4pm Challenge: Flower Made By Clothing *WINNER ANNOUNCED**

Here are the things I started with:
2 different sizes of bowls, a cup, and a juice glass to make the circles for the flower.
Old clothing that I had originally put in a pile to take to the Goodwill. {a pair of khaki pants, a pair of shorts, a tshirt, and a cotton shirt}


First, trace circles on the different pieces of fabric using the bowls, cup, and glass. Then cut them out.
To get the "crumpled" look, I got my hands damp, took each fabric piece and rolled them up in the hands. This rougher you rolled them in your hands, the more distressed and crumpled they'll be.


For one of the pieces of fabric, cut slits along the edge to create flower petals.


Finally, glue {I used Helmar 450 Clear Dry Glue} or stitch the fabric pieces together, and top off with buttons in the middle of your flower. The buttons I used are off the khaki pants I used for 1 or my circles.


Like I said, this is my newest obsession and will be creating more flowers for pillows, purses, layouts and mini albums. They are so fun and easy!!!

I used my old flannel owl printed pajama bottoms for my flower!

Here's mine!! I too used some old t-shirts. I think this will be attached to a headband for my daughter!

Not sure I like this but it's done. May have to try it again sometime.
the fabric is the lime green between the cardstock and the buttons.

How fun! I love how all of these came together, so creative! I'm so bummed I missed such fun challenges!
