waaaahhhh

I am pitching a fit.....

We had back to back thunder storms and my computers hard drive
crashed. I had to run out today and buy a new lap top. Having the hard drive
transfered over to an external hard drive.

Now I have to reload all my software / actions to this laptop.

I am horrible.... I was happy with my old equipment because I was comfortable
with it and knew how it worked. All my passwords were saved...etc.
Now I have to learn a new windows ......

and well it just all makes me a bit cranky !!!!!!!!!

I'm so sorry, Norma, what a bummer! Wishing you a smooth transition to your new computer.

Oh no! I'm so worried this is going to happen to me. Since my last crash on my computer, it will still pop up with an error that reads: imminent hard disk failure. Please replace.

Everytime I see that, I just want to cry. I am not looking forward to having to transfer everything over to a new PC. Like you, I'm used to the one I have!!

Hope you get used to this one soon.

I had them dump everything into an external portable HardDrive and I am sorta
liking that now. I can access my info on any computer for the most
part.

Oh I hate when these pesky computer issues happen! I just got mine back about a month ago after I did a dumb thing and opened an infected file in an email! Had to take it in and they removed it and got my computer working again but it's still not the same. I panicked because I had not backed up in a few weeks! It's times like those that I realize I really need to keep up with it. Thankfully, I didn't lose anything.

But like you I was more concerned about having to get a new computer and move everything on it and reload programs etc....that's the royal pain!!!!

Oh, that stinks!!! our computer showed the "blue screen of death" last week. Fortunately, hubby is a certified computer tech. He just needs to find some time to fix it. Unfortunately, that is the computer I use to listen to the radio while I scrap, and I have my Silhouette software loaded on it. Hoping I won't lose all my images again (I have already had this happen once.) Note to self: back-up Silhouette images on external hard drive next time!!!
