Daycare

Oye vey - I'm a nervous wreck over here about finding a daycare for Emma. I have been on a waiting list since JANUARY and still there are no openings yet. Granted I won't need to get her in until October but I'm worried that 7 months into being on a list - that I STILL won't get in by October. This is just pure craziness!

ANy other areas like this that have waiting lists for daycare? I'm so stressed abou this already!

My son was on a wait list for preschool. I know it can be nerve-wracking but I'm sure it will all work out!

boy that is rough

we haven't had issues but we did where we lived before. do you think there will be more openings when school picks up again? there is always more of a need in the summer

Well, I found out that the daycares here only do once a year registration in March. And since I didn't get a call in March, my name won't be reviewed again until NEXT YEAR. I just about had a heart attack! And this is what I found out after calling 5 other places that I didn't have my name on a list at.

But alas, all things work out somehow. I have a girlfriend who just started taking her baby to a newer daycare and she gave me the number to call. I called today at lunch and there was NO wait list! Yay - so I went over there and paid my $75 for reservation and reserved her a spot! I am sooooo relieved. There were only two more spots open. I took one and seriously as I was signing on the dotted line, another lady walked in and got the last spot! Talk about timing! But now all i have to do is wait for little miss Emma to make her appearance! I'm just glad to have that stress off me. And the bonus is that this daycare is RIGHT by my work. Like literally 1 minute away. And it's only about 6 minutes from my house - so VERY convenient. Much more so than the others I was looking at so I am totally stoked!

Oh that's good news Renee! I'm glad everything worked out. Haven't had to deal with daycare issues for many years but I do remember the frantic feeling of trying to find the right place to take care of my baby! So glad you can relax now (at least on that issue!)
