I am so sad Borders is closing this week. I suppose that is the way most bookstores are going/will go with the era of ebooks and buying things online. It is still sad though. I love Borders for all the great kids books and special kid events they did. They have some great homeschool stuff too. I haven't ever liked a bookstore as much as that one. Sad

I am completely traumatized by Borders closing down !!!!

Matter of fact all our local book stores in town have closed down. Sad

Now where does a mom go on the weekend to get away. I use to love
to spend hours sipping coffee and browsing books.

I am a HUGE book reader and even though we have an IPAD I would
rather have a physical book. I enjoy our IPAD when we are away
or at the Dr's office, etc but at home I want to flip pages and hold
a physical book.

So sad !!!!!!!!!!!!

For some reason (location mostly I think) we mainly go to Barnes and Noble. They have story time with an arts and craft for the kids (which we actually havent done in a LONG time). But honestly with trying to cut back I just dont buy books anymore. I only go to the library. If it is something I need long term like my Lightroom guide book, I generally buy on Amazon. But of course, I hate to see any company go out of business.

I am very sad to see Borders close. It's just another mass job loss for an already struggling employment industry.

Between them and Blockbuster I am just completely shocked. I am lost without my blockbuster. I hate netflix and redbox so I'm like a lost puppy now.

I am so sad that the bookstores are closing. For us we have Books A Million locally so that's where we usually go to hang out and get coffee. But I too still love to hold an actual book in my hands when I'm reading. I hope they don't completely disappear with the technology becoming more and more popular.

So sad. The whole printed word phase is coming to a close I think. I too love to actually hold a book or magazine and thumb through the pages....reading online just isn't the same.
