| SO, I quit my job about a year ago to stay home with the kids-BEST decision ever. Now, the person that took over for me is already leaving. They have asked me to fill in on just one part of my old job (about 4 hrs. a week) until they find someone new and I said yes that I would help at least through August. I know they need the help, and I don't mind the money, but I still think I MUST BE CRAZY! At least I can come in Sunday evenings when no one else is there (no office politics), hubby can watch the kids, and I can always say no more after August. We will see. I am just WAITING for them to ask me to train the new person when they hire. Oh good grief. Help-I am getting sucked in!!! | |

| May be this will be a good outlet for you if just remains a few hours. I have been home with the kids for 12years and through those years it has always been nice to have a little something like that just for me to get away & feel normal.
I think the hard part is saying no if they try to add more hours or more responsibilities. eeekkkk good luck Sweetie !!!!

| Definitely the hard part is saying no to extras. If they can stick to your terms it sounds awesome. Just remember you are really doing them a favor so dont feel guilty to hear that they are swamped or something. | |

| Thanks for listening. I am sure I will be back for more encouragement when they start asking me to work more hours!!!!!! Hopefully, they will find someone quickly, and we can keep it at me just filling in for a few weeks-which is fine. | |

| I agree with Rebecca - you are doing THEM a favor. And I think this speaks highly of your character to be stepping in like that. And even though it does sound like a nice agreement, you quit working for them for a reason. don't let them guilt you into working more than you are comfortable doing.
You truly don't owe them anything but to be helping them out this way is truly awesome and I would hope they would respect you enough to not take advantage of your kindness. Good luck! | |
