| Out of all the movies you have seen... which movie or scene in a movie moved you enough to make you cry? For me it really was "Meet Joe Black" It was a time in my life when I was still missing my father who had passed away. There was this scene in the end where the father (Anthony Hopkins) willing gives his life to death to save the life of his daughter. I totally went into the ugly cry in the movie theater. Now it's your time to share

| I cry at most emotional touching scenes. I even teared up in the last Harry Potter movie. I cried in the Toy story 3 movie. I cry during some commercials.

| Oh I remember that movie!
Dead Poet's Society. Oh Captain my Captain. Gosh I am crying now...you know I never made it to the end of that movie for years, I just cried my eyes out.
That movie just strikes a cord with me about the interpersonal battles we have everyday regarding what those around us want us to be and our own hopes and dreams.
I edited my post so I am not such a debbie downer, LOL

| My list is so long, I cry @ everything, even commercials! Here are a few of my ugly cry movies...
The Champ (I still cry thinking about little Ricky screaming, "Wake up the champ.") Terms of Endearment Toy Story 3 Beaches
Ellen, I would love to see your unedited reply. Kristin, I'm glad I'm not the only that cries during commercials! Norma, I've never seen Joe Black, I may have to check it out.

| Commercials move me to cry as well, esp. those sappy Hallmark commercials around the holidays! One movie that always gets me is the Notebook... esp. the part where he crawls into bed with her and they die holding each other.... ahhh... yea. | |

| Kristen, I'm like you--the bigger is question for me is--is there a movie where you have NOT cried lol. But one that gets me from the first few minutes and keeps me going through the whole darn thing is It's a Wonderful Life. You know in the beginning where you hear all the voices praying for George? I start crying then and I cry literally during the whole thing. I've seen it a million times and it STILL gets me. | |

| This is such a funny topic in our house! I am not a crier! My family teases me that I'm a "cold hearted woman!" Of course, they're kidding but it takes a lot to make me cry usually.
I have cried at a few....I specifically remember Beaches - of course, that was easy Terms of Endearment - losing the daughter was a horrible scene that made me cry Father of the Bride - watched this again a few months ago and I only cried because of my emotions of my own daughter getting married. See? Not too many.....maybe I am hard? LOL

| Lol Kristen, I cry at books too. Even kids books. I was reading my kids the Ramona books and have teared up.
My husband does not get it at all. he always asks, "why would you want to watch something if you KNOW it is going to make you cry?" He just does not get the whole cathartic aspect of it. I always feel better after a good cry at a movie.

Crying isn't a bad thing. Some of us really get into the scene or book and tap into our emotions more than others. It doesn't mean that those that don't cry weren't touched, but some can really be completely absorbed.
I don't mind crying, it also reminds me I do care, because I tend to do thing matter of factly and I don't think people realize how emotional I am.

I always feel better after a good cry at a movie. Ha Damien tells me the same thing....always want's to know why I torture myself. I use to not be a crier at all but the older I get the weepier I have become. Matter of fact when Damien proposed to me the guys at has work all made bets .... on the fact that I would not cry when Damien asked me to marry him. When I was younger I became very business orientated and people perseved it as cold hear-ted. But they all lost big time because the second he dropped down to his knee I became one big bawling baby.

| The Notebook is one of my all time favorite movies, I cry every time I see it.
But heck I cried for during New Moon so I may not be a good judge of a tear jerker!
