| I know we have talked about cameras before but my camera is getting ready to die and I need to start researching now for a new one. So I was wondering exactly what camera you use and love and what camera you have used and didn't care for. Please give me the exact name of the camera so I can check it out.
Thank you all so very much!

| I want an SLR also i think and I really don't want to go over 600.00 and if I could find a good one for 400.00 then that would be awesome.
But.....I want this camera to last so paying extra for better quality is something I will do. I don't want to be looking for another camera in 2 years.

| You can find either a Nikon or a Canon in your range if you just look around. Frankly, it all comes down to personal preference. I would recommend that you go into a store and pick them up and see how they feel in your hand. I bought a Canon Rebel over the web because I got a great deal....but I wasn't ever really happy with it. I was convinced that I wanted a Nikon and I sold my Canon last week so that I could get one....then I ended up deciding on the new Olympus PEN which wasn't even on my list - LOL. Everyone will give you a different answer, so take the time to check around | |

| Yep have to agree with Marci. Its personal preference.
I have a canon and happy. Do you have anybody with different cameras that you can give them a try. See if you like the feel and weight. Or alternatively go to a shop

| I have made a date with DH to go to a couple places this weekend and look at cameras. I just kinda wanted a jumping off point of what to look for in a good camera and I know you ladies have great cameras because I have seen the pictures!
One of my big selling points to my old camera was the fact it had a really good anti shake on it. With Will he never stops so I have to be quick. So that means a quick focus also. But then there are times that I would like to play with it and just take my time.
Thanks for all the help so far!

| my first slr camera was the canon rebel and i loved it. i now have the nikon d80 and love it just as much. the only negative thing about my nikon d80 is that it's a little heavier than the canon rebel. i got use to it though, so it's not a problem. | |
