| Marmon Valley Farm, Inc. 7754 State Route 292 Zanesfield, OH 43360 One weekend in January and March of each year they have a Scrapbooking/Card Making Retreat. The crop room opens at 1 pm on Friday but official activities begin at 4:00 pm. Package includes: 1 nights housing (dorm style cabins), 3 meals - Fri supper, Sat breakfast and lunch - delicious Farm cooked meals, snacks (including fruit, and of course chocolate) a minimum of 9 square feet of cropping space, 25 1/2 hours of non stop cropping, door prizes, a tool table and your choice of classes. Other activities available include Horseback riding (for an additional fee), hay ride and other farm fun. You will need to bring bedding as well as toiletries and your cropping supplies. $75 Package price. $58 without overnight accommodations. **I have been to this a couple of times and enjoyed myself. If your not planning on sleeping but instead want to work through the night you pay the lower price. Pros: price is good, food is EXCELLENT, plenty of work space, scrap area in seperate building from sleeping & eating, plenty of help to unload and reload car when you arrive and leave. Cons: cabin/dorm style housing with multiple bunk beds in each, classes could be better, don't forget anything cause no stores close by. http://www.marmonvalley.com/index.htm | |
