the heat is back

At least we got a good 24 hours of rain Friday.

Owen is at basketball camp this week and I just keep telling him to make sure he drinks enough. I hope he does!

Its been a little less hot. It rained last night and we are in the lower to mid 80s but high humidity makes it feel so uncomfortable.

It's definitely back in full force here. I'm ready for Fall!!

It has been a little warmer, but we have had a lot of rain too-so much rain that we have had some mud slides-not too surprising when you consider with the fire there is very little to hold the dirt back. I have to say though, I have enjoyed having some good thunderstorms (even with the problems they have caused.) We don't get many around here, and they remind me of home in the midwest!

Its been hot but not as bad as it has been.
We have also gotten some much needed rain, but still not nearly enough. Most of the crops look bad and I feel so bad for the farmers.
I did finally mow the yard on Sunday mostly because the weeds were driving me nuts. The grass itself really didn't need it. Some of the yard is green but most is still brown. I think this is only the 4th or 5th time we have mowed this year. Its crazy cause normally I am mowing every week!!
