Back to our regularly programing..
I just made Ben breakfast..I just "mentioned" yesterday that his breakfast was so good when I made it last week
I don't usually make him. breakfast before school..
Julie also mentioned she loves it when I make homemade muffins in the morning..so since I am up anyway guess I might as well.
I am almost done with a layout from pictures I took yesterday..

What's up for you today?

Work for me today. I'm pretty emotional right now. My nephew, Austin, is leaving for the Navy today. He just came by to see me and my mom, his Nana, to tell us bye before his mom and step-dad take him to Montgomery. He will have is last MEPS in the morning at 4am, then they will swear him in. Then, he'll be headed to Great Lakes, Illinois for Boot Camp. He's 18 and he just seems so young. He's so excited and I know he will do great things. I'm very proud of him. After work. I'll be heading home to get Gavin ready for karate practice and Carley ready for dance practice. After supper and baths, I probably won't do much else!!

WOW.. off to the NAVY..quite a big adventure.. A friend of my daughter's went right from high school to the NAVY..he loves it

Today was back to work and I was busy!! Made the day go by fast.

I have really been struggling with headaches for about 5 days now and its really wearing me down. I am sure it is because of stress and I haven't been running the last couple weeks which doesn't help. Usually that really helps but I have just not been in the mood and we have been so busy in the evenings getting ready for hunting season and all. And a couple weeks back (two days before my birthday) my mom had a stroke and we had three vehicles break down all within about a week of each other (both my husbands car and truck, and then our sons car). We have my husbands car fixed but my sons car is really being a struggle and we haven't even begun to work on my husbands truck. When it rains, it pours in our house!!

ooo Sherrie you have a had a really crappy streak! I hope you have as much good luck in a streak to out weight the bad!
So sorry to hear about your mom. How is she doing?

Yes, Dria...a BIG adventure. He was just sworn in less than an hour ago. He'll be headed to Great Lakes, Il. in a little while. He is so excited!! I'm so proud for him.
Sherrie, I hope you get to feeling better!! How is your mom? Praying all is well!!

Thanks for your concern ladies.
My mom is doing okay now. She refused to go get checked out when it happened of course. She says if she has another one she will go. It affected her speach and vision and it took a few days for her to finally get compeletly back to normal. She does kind of have this blank spot in her memory where she doesn't remember the actual stroke, but that is pretty common. Its just so frustrating cause they are so far away and I feel helpless. She turned 78 back on Aug. 26th and my dad turned 61 on Aug. 29th.

Kiddos started back to school on Wednesday so we are all getting used to routines. So sorry about your mom Sherrie!! My mom has had a couple mini strokes but in her 40's and thankfully nothing since. My dad passed in January and his bday was Aug 30th not an easy day for me( kind of hard to celebrate my hub bday, its the same day). When it rains it pours here as well. I guess bad luck is better then no luck..Haa dumb quote... ((((HUGS))))xoxoxo
