What is YOUR favorite thing to bake and are you willing to share your recipes???

My favorite thing to bake (which isn't often unfortunately) is banana pudding - but this isn't your out of the box pudding. THis is whipped with heavy cream that is my Great Grandma's recipe. I will have to pull it and share it!! It's so yummy!

Honestly - I do very little of the baking around here anymore! My 12 year old does most of it! But I do bake quick breads! My favorite one is a zucchini pineapple bread!

My SIL has this awesome French Toast Strata that is great for special brunches, it's like a french toast casserole. Oh so yummy!!!!

My husband doesn't like to eat a lot of sweets because both of his parents are diabetics so I have never baked in our six years of marriage nor 9 years of being together out of respect for this.... I used to bake brownies all the time in my apartment, but out of a box. LOL

Yeah, I am a heck of a boxed brownie baker, Julie!!! I came across a recipe for homemade brownies in my mom's recipe book(where I got all my other recipes I made yesterday) that I want to try out soon!! I'll let you girls know how those turn out! It didn't look too hard, and my mom said they were really good!

I love to bake! Two of my favorites are a Sausage/Brie Casserole & Crinkled Fudge Truffle Cookies. I think I gained 5 lbs. just typing this. lol

I love to bake when it's chilly/cold outside. I haven't been baking too much lately, since we've had temps in the high 90's with crazy high humidity! Love to share & swap recipes!

I love baking and canning and trying new things.

Today I made my Dad a cake (and he is diabetic), but I make it with a box mix that is 50% less sugar. It's so easy and yummy.

Blueberry Dump Cake

1 can crushed pineapple.
1 quart blueberries
1 white cake mix
2 sticks butter. ( I use 1 and a half, but if it looks dry when it starts to melt you can add more)

Pour in cake pan as listed ( do not stir or mix)
Cut the butter into pats and place on top of the cake mix, bake at 350 until top is golden brown. Serve warm with icecream or whipped topping.

And I made raspberry preserve yesterday. It took dh forever to pick enough berries for 2 pints. But it is yummy!

i make a mean banana bread loaf!!! and pb cookies!

I bake a mean beer bread that is an awesomely easy recipe and can be substituted with 7-Up if you don't want the taste of beer. I will post the recipe for everyone.

I am also a HUGE fan of baking, whether from scratch or from a box. I love home made goods, they are my undoing if in arms reach.

I don't bake much anymore....no kiddos at home and my hubby is a diabetic so neither one of us need to be eating "junk". But I love brownies and cookies so when I do bake, it's usually one of those two things. Hubby makes an awesome zuchinni bread though!!
