| This weekend my AWESOME husband took our son on his first "Daddy/Son Camping Trip". I feel a little guilty that I did not go but he really wanted to give me some "downtime" after being a single mom for almost 2 years while he was away for training and overseas.
On one hand, I think to myself, "Self, you deserve this time! Enjoy it!"
And on the other, I think, "wow, he is going to come home WORE OUT because that little guy can run the most energetic person into the ground". LOL!!
Would you feel guilty taking "me" time on a holiday weekend like this? | |

| When your husband volunteers to take the boy out - LET him! It's his way of showing you he loves and appreciates YOUR service to him. Don't deny him the opportunity to serve you!
And they'll come back with a closer bond that is absolutely priceless!

| DO NOT FEEL GUILTY!! I used to think like that, but I have realized staying at home with my kids, that not only do you need the time away from them, but they really need the time away from you too!! It's good to get a break. Mine are with me ALL THE TIME...and sometimes you can tell they just want some "Daddy" or "Nana" time...and it's good for them.
SO ENJOY YOURSELF!!!! | |

| Enjoy it girl! As a fellow military spouse I know all about being a "single mom" and like Danielle said, enjoy the fact that you have a wonderful husband who wants to give you a much deserved break! It took me a long time to not feel guilty and just enjoy it too so don't feel bad | |
