Taking a big step *Sharing good news*

With the many budget cuts here in Washington state, even the nonprofits are being hit. My hours are being reduced come 1 Jan to 20 hours a week. I'm happy as I can help more at the ranch. At the same time, a door has been opened for me. Over the past few months I've been asked to speak, train & consult with families & organizations about Caregiving, facilitate required caregiving training, so I've started my own biz "Creative Caregiving & Consulting". Order biz cards today and now I need to create a blog (any & all help would be greatly appreciated). I'm going to tackle that over the next couple weeks. I need to organize myself, do some more research and get some of my powerpoint presentations made into blog posts. I'm pretty excited. But first and foremost, my priority will be my husband and our shared work, and of course, my kids/grandkids. Public speaking and speaking about caregiving is my passion. I've also been doing 'soul parties' --- no, not those types of parties. I figured that instead of paying for tupperware, etc., there is a fee and I facilitate a fun evening of learning about journaling, life issues for women, dealing with stress .... I've been doing these for 8 years now and they are starting to pick up again. And in all this, I'm making time to scrap.

My long range goal -- I'll be asked to be a speaker and facilitate workshops in areas where my kids live.

congrats, it sounds super exciting and i looooooooooooove the idea of a soul party! women need to do this more. maybe it will help some of us from getting lost along the way.
