| I am a huge book reader & I would actually prefer to read a book than to watch a movie. I also really enjoy reading novels based by movies. Question #1 Witch do you prefer... Book Reading or Watching a Movie? Question #2 Have you read a Novel lately based by a Movie and if so witch one? I recently read "I am Number 4" and I really enjoyed it ! I watched the movie after reading the bbok and was really surprised how much I also enjoyed the movie. Although I drove Damien crazy cuz I couldn't help but point out all the parts that were different than the book.

| I love movies and books! However, when a movie is adapted from a book, I usually prefer the book. My most recent book to movie is The Help. | |

| Me too Norma! I usually like to read the book first and then watch the movie only to find myself sorely disappointed in the movie.
Although I have been pleased with the Twilight series and the movies
Water for Elephants was another good one for both Nights in Rodanthe by Nicholas Sparks (well, actually all of his were great)
and like Sherry - my most recent was The Help. I'm interested to see the movie to see how they portray this. That book was probably one of the best books I have ever read.

| I go for the book first, I just really never think the movie does it justice.
I am starting the Help now, This isn't usually my kind of book but thought it sounded good.

| I was thinking about reading The Help.
I like to read the book first, too. I didn't know that I am Number 4 was a book! I loved that Movie. Is that a series?
I just got done reading The Hunger Games and that is going to be a movie...it was soooo goooood!
I really do a lot of reading based on other ppls recommendations.

I'm rereading the Help...I LOVED it the first time and wanted to reread it before the movie comes out. I've seen lots of movies after reading the books. I don't think I've ever enjoyed the movie more than the book. Another good read if you like The Help is the Secret Life of Bees...another one of my all time favorites.

| I prefer to read the book first too.
Most movies don't do the books justice. The only movies that followed the books well are the Harry potter movies.
I have The help on my list. I thought it would be available at the library since its been out, but its not in the system. So I guess I have to buy it.

| I much prefer to read the book first and don't always end up seeing the movie because I'm usually disappointed.
I loved The Help, I am Number 4, and Water for Elephants and haven't seen the movies yet. Do they follow the books pretty closely?

| I'm a book person first! I would much rather read than watch a movie. I have a hard time reading a book after I've seen the movie. Kind of feels like I've "been there...done that".
My last movie/book read was "Something Borrowed". I watched the movie first....still in the middle of reading but am having a hard time finishing it BECAUSE I've seen the movie. Again, that "been there...done that" thing. Ready to move on!
I prefer to either see the movie OR read the book, most of the time not both.

Ohhh goodness looks like I will head out later and try to find "The Help" !
I did see the movie previews to "The Help" and I thought it really looked good.
Jane, I the "I Am Four" book and movie were very different but I equally enjoyed each for once. Of course in a movie they have to cut out so much to make it all fit. It was up to half of the movie and then things majorly changed from the book.

| I wasn't a fan of Water for Elephants, it was a slow read for me.
I just finished The Room, and now I'm reading one of Dan Browns novels The Lost Symol.
I loved the Twilight Series, The Left Behind Series, HP, Midnight Breed Series. I keep a few books on my iPad for on the go but still love a good old fashioned book from the library book sale we have locally. I love reading in the bathtub and I don't trust myself to take my iPad in there!
