| Ok, I have a question for you all....
How do you organize your scrap supplies? By color, brand or type of supply?

| Mine are organized by type of item....so all my alphas are together, my journaling spots are together, metals are together, etc. I've thought of trying the color system but not so sure I could handle it. Can't wait to see how everyone else does theirs! | |

| My cardstock and pp is primarily sorted by color, but I have some pp that's sorted by manufacturer if it's companies that I really like and tend to "collect" if you know what I mean (like Jillibean Soup & Echo Park for instance.)
Ribbons and trims are sorted by color, too. I have plastic containers for red/pink, blue/purple, greens, yellows/oranges, beige/browns and black/whites. Buttons are sorted the same way.
Alphas are sorted separately by type - chipboard, stickers, rubons. And a lot of embellishments are sorted by theme (Winter, Fall, baby, vintage, etc.) Other embellishments are sorted by type. I have one plastic container for "bling", one for journaling blocks, one for bare chipboard/grungeboard, and one for misc. embellies. Tiny embellishments like brads and eyelets are in compartmented containers, sorted by color.
I have a bunch of plastic containers and Cropper Hopper paper holders and everything fits into one big Ikea Expedit shelving unit in my sewing/scraproom.

| I have this box.....and I just throw it all in there!!
No really, that may be what I want to do sometimes but mine are organized by function or type of supply.
If I have bought items for a certain page then I keep those together. Like fpr example if I bougth the MME line for sisters then I keep that together until I make the layout.

| I have papers seperated by Manufacturer and all others are organized by type. I thought about doing embellies by color before but then I thought that would be too ridiculously hard to keep organized. | |

| First, I divide by product; then organize by color. I do keep a lot of my paper divided by manufacturer until the romance has worn off, then I divide it by color.

| For most things, I sort by type: embellishment drawer, adhesive drawer, ribbon drawer, punch/tool drawer, etc. However, for all my patterned paper, I organize by theme. Way more useful to me than by manufacturer. I have categories within hanging file folders in the cropper hopper container. I have very specific themes like boys, Christmas, baby, etc. and they're all in alphabetical order. I do have a *special* file in the back labled "Favorite New Paper" -- that way when I'm just dying to play with some of my new goodies, I just pull out that file! | |

| It depends on the supply. I have my paper organized my manufacturer. Everything else is by color or type. For example, my flowers, buttons and ribbons are by color. The rest of my embellishments are by type like - brads, stickers, paints, etc. | |

| my pp is by manufacturer, and everything else is by type-although I do keep kits together. If I have a lot of something-alphas, rubons, they are by type and by manufacturer within type. | |
