Could you live without technology?


With the passing of Steve Jobs..just has me thinking of how far we have come and what we did before cell phones. I came out of a meeting last night pretty late and went home. All the ladies were calling their husbands to let them know they were on their way. I was like...'brian knows where i am..do i really need to call him?'

I think our generation would survive if we had to go back to no technology. Our children on
the other hand not sure if they could survive with out it.

I actually am one that hates talking on cell phones..... especially with the studies out there
that say it can cause cancer. But I will tell u the other day when our Nipsco went out and
we had no power I was losing it

Wow! Good question. I think we have come to rely on technology so much now that life would definitely be more difficult if we had to go back to the time before we had all this at our fingertips.

I was just thinking the other day how much things have changed even just with the mail. I had one bill that I was paying through the postal service, which is our water bill, simply because they do not have online bill pay. Everything else is online....so just that one task of paying bills would be so much more difficult!

Then thinking about the time I used to tell my husband, "...if I don't call you in an hour then come looking for me because you know I didn't make it" when I was driving alone somewhere....before cell phones!!! Just those little things we take for granted now.

Yes, life would be much different....

A couple of years ago, we had a bad windstorm in our area and we were without power for four days....totally showed me how much I take our modern technology for granted. I love my computer, Internet and TV!

Could I? Perhaps. Would I want to? NO!!!
