| Game of Thrones...well, book Two in that Series but I forget the name. It is intense and 800 pages so I break with some good smut and brainless stuff in between LOL! | |

| I just started rereading the Game of Thrones series (almost finished book 1) . Its been a couple of years since I read the series and with book 5 finally coming out last year I needed to refresh my memory before I read that one.
I know what you mean though Ellen - I need to read something different in between too!
Its a fantasy series by George R. Martin that's been in the works for about six years now. I'm not sure if its finished in book 5 or not.

| I hate to admit it but I'm more of a fluffy book reader. When I pick a book, it's never usually intense, thriller or sci fi books. It's usually something predictive and easy reading. So I don't think I can hold a candle to Hunger Games or books like that. I'm a wimpy reader! lol
Although I did just download a sample of "Once Upon a Secret" from B&N and it looks pretty interesting. Supposedly a true story from a young intern at the White House during the Kennedy years. Haven't bought it yet though.
Any good suggestions for my type of reading? I"m open!

Ben said, "MOM I read all three books in 7th grade..they were good--I want to see the movie" I asked "where did you get the books?"..He looked dumb founded "YOU bought them for me" ok..get out the memory loss banner for me.

| I just finished One Thousand White Women I LOVED it. I just got another book by the same author but I'm only a few pages into it. I also loved the Hunger Games. The Help is also fantastic! | |

| I read the Help and watched the movie. I loved both of them. I am currently reading "Mists of Avalon" for a book club I belong to that meets every 6 weeks. This book however is 876 pages long! I had to break it into page increments per day. I wasn't able to get it at our local libraries so I had to intra-library loan it. It came in with 3 weeks left to read it so I HAVE to read 46 pages a day. Tiny print, difficult different concepts for me but now I am in the late 600s and am excited to pick it up every day to see what happens. I had friends and family say it's their favorite book - I won't go that far but I do like it at this point. I have all three of the Hunger Games waiting for me on my Nook. I also love Kristen Hannah and Jodi Picoult books and have a couple of those waiting for me. The Litigator by John Grisham is on my nightstand waiting. Love to read but my scrappy habit interfers with my reading time | |

| I just got done reading "One For the Money". It was so funny, and a good read. Its one of those books you don't have to think to hard about. This is the first one is a series or like 20 I think. I am getting ready to start the second one. | |

| Enough to where I want to get it finished by our club meeting on Saturday - and if you knew me, you'd know that if I hate a book, I only read what I want of it and tell the group that I didn't have time nor energy to finish it. Life is too short to worry about finishing yucky books when there is so much else of life to enjoy. | |

| LOL Jennifer - I finished "Two for the Dough" after having it on my nightstand for 4 months. It was a quick easy read and good but life kept getting in the way. I too am wanting to read that series. | |

| I just started Mockingjay from the Hunger Games Series last night. I read the first two in less than a week. I wasn't sure if I would like it cause I'm more of a fluffy book reader, too. But I was hooked from the very start. I can't wait for the movie to come out the 23rd. | |

| I am normally a suspense reader, but the last few months I have been switching things up with some non-fiction and fiction books. My most recent favorite read was The Book Of Negroes, soooo good!
Right now I am reading The Teeth May Smile But The Heart Does Not Forget by Andrew Rice. It's a true story.

| Everyone keeps telling me to read the Hunger Games book but I'm a sissy reader! I'm a fluffy reader....don't think I could handle the suspense and stuff that goes on in those books...give me a predictable love story, and I'm good to go! | |

| I recommend that you both read them. They are really good and not so deep or action packed that it would turn you off. You will love them. The story is sad IMO but it is soooo good!!! You won't be disappointed. | |
