Returning from a hiatus

For those that do not know me, my is Danielle Wycough. I live in Texas with my soulmate (and I do not say that lightly), and our 5 amazing children. My New Year's resolution this year was to create more. Indulge myself in my sanity/therapy. I took a year off to focus on my family, to recover from surgery after surgery on my arm. Now, it has become not just a resolution, but much more. This has now become a fulfillment of a promise that I have made to my mother and my grandmother. On February 13, my grandmother was diagnosed with bi-lateral invasive metastatic breast cancer, and on February 14, my precious mother was diagnosed with lung cancer. They have both begged me to focus on my creating and crafting in between the surgeries, chemo and radiation treatments. So, for them, I am throwing myself back in to the world I love.

So, to those I know...hello And to the once I have yet to meet. I look forward to getting to know you! Now if I can just remember how to do all of this. Please, be patient

Wow Danielle! I can't even begin to imagine what you're carrying right now. So sorry to hear about your Grandmother and Mom. You can bet that you will find a support here though. For me, creating helps me be able to pour my heart into something...I hope it does the same for you.

Again, I am soo sorry about hearing your news from you on FB! But what wonderful advice you have been givin to stay true to yourself and to surround yourself with crafting when you so dearly love it! I know it's great therapy, Danielle! Scrapping has helped me numerous times throughout my own journey And welcome back to FTLOA... you've been missed!

Wow that is a lot to take in and it is awesome that you are doing this for them. You have many thoughts and prayers coming you way from all the wonderful ladies here. And I am so excited you have come back here. I hope that we will not only be able to help you with your creating but also as a place to come and talk if you need it. I'm sure you haven't forgotten everything!
