Ever run away?

I just had to run away today. Alex has been home quite a bit this winter (back and hip problems) daughter Julie is on spring break and I am not getting to be myself at all--I admit it I like to be totally alone 2 days/week from 5:30am- 3pm...alone. So today Alex and Benjamin went to school--Julie was still sleeping and I left...nope no note..no text..just left. I drove 37 miles north to Perrysburg to Micheal's, Target, TJ Max.etc... I spent a wopping $9.34. (not counting gas)...
I was home by 1:30 to take Alex to physical therapy BUT at least I was ALONE for a while.
Julie sent me a text.."where are you?"... I did reply...."at Angies"...(LOL--that way she wouldn't say "why didn't you take me with you?"

Do you ever just..run a way ?

I would LIKE to run away-everyone has been so sick though around here. I think that will have to be my first action once things settle down here. Oh, and GOOD for you!!!

As soon as I get back on my feet I am so doing this...I will have to find a babysitter though

Oh yes!!! Everyone needs some ME time!! It's hard when you have family that depend on you so much and a pulling on you from all sides. I love that, don't get me wrong. But sometimes you need time just to let your brain rest!!

Sometimes I want to run away but not for ME time. Honestly I have plenty of time for that! My daughter is grown and married and so I'm home all day by myself and really able to set my schedule freely. I work in the evenings so that time is taken but other than that, my time is pretty much mine. (Don't hate me young moms! Your time will come and trust me, it's all too soon....)

But sometimes I want to run away for other reasons....ever just want to run away just because? Sometimes just responsibilities and down days etc.....makes me want to run and get away from it all! And then I jerk myself back together and tell myself to straighten up because in the scope of things, life is really pretty darn good!
