| the mailman was actually early today, and dropped off my new stamps! I splurged and got three new Paper Smooches sets (Metropolis, Spring Fling, and Sentiment Sampler), and the Lawn Fawn paper airplane set so I am pretty happy! Do you stamp? If so, what are some of your favorites? I am definitely a big fan of Paper Smooches, Lawn Fawn, and Papertrey right now. I would also be curious as to what inks you use to stamp with-I like to stamp in black or emboss, and then color in my images by painting with mists. | |

| I love Paper Smooches and Lawn Fawn. I don't have any Paper Smooches right now but they are on my list. I like Market Street, too. Sweet Stamp Shop are some of my faves, too! Just loaded some of them in my gallery. They are doing a blog hop with May Arts right now so stop by their blogs to win. http://www.mayarts.com/blog/http://www.sweetstampshop.blogspot.com/ | |

| I only recently became familiar with Lawn Fawn and I do like them. I am also liking my WOW! stamps a lot but the selection is kind of small right now since they are a new company here in the US. They only have about 12 sets right now but I know they are working hard to develop more.
For inks I use Tim Holtz distress inks and for embossing I use WOW! Embossing Powders. I just love WOW!'s glitter powders. And I guess others feel the same way because I am having a really hard time keeping them in stock in the store. Right now I am out of several colors but I did place another order last week so hopefully they will be here soon!

| Rachel, you read my mind! I was just thinking about posting a question about inks for stamping! I have such a hard time getting a nice crisp image. I have tried the Distress Inks but for just stamping they don't seem to be real crisp. Anyone else have any ideas for some great ink that is crisp?
And that's awesome on your happy mail!

| I am not a big stamper but am loving Lawn Fawn right now. I also just ordered a Bella Blvd stamp to try but have yet to break it out and use it. | |

| the distress inks really don't work well for stamping. I use stazon for a nice black, and I really like chalk ink as well. I have a fabulous brown-Stampa Rosa amaretto truffle (it is really old, but it still works great!), and love soft pool from Hero Arts. | |

| Lawn Fawn stamps are so cute. I am definitely not a big stamper, but I use distress ink pads on a lot of cards and layouts just to ink the edges or embellishments. I agree that Staz-On is a great ink. Plus, Staz-On can be used on tons of things other than paper. Even canvas. I read somewhere that some inks are not good to use on layouts because they won't stay or last. I just don't remember which ones or why.

| I need to see "WOW" I thought the glitter was just glue on--is it actually heat embossing? | |

| Dria - yes WOW! actually has glittered embossing powder that you use just like regular embossing powder. You use a heat gun to melt it. Because of the glitter in it it will have a bit of texture to it, not smooth like the regular powders, but I think it sparkles nicely after heated and sets-up.
I'm going to have to look into some of those other inks. If you all think other inks give a better stamped image then i need to try something else. Thanks for info!

| Yes, that's great info ladies! I usually use Staz On just because it gives me such a crisp stamp. But I want to do some color inks too. I have tried the little Prima chalk inks and I have to say, I'm pretty pleased with those as well. I love embossing but I just get a mess when I do. Those extra little flakes of powder that appear around the stamped image just annoy me to no end! I have tried using a dryer sheet on my project before I stamp and emboss to remove any static, I use a little brush to brush the excess away and I am still always left with powder where it shouldn't be so when I heat it I have a mess. I have all but given up on embossing! | |

| Staz On inks are my favorites, too. I'm with you on the embossing, Sheri! It drives me nuts. | |
