| So... I am in the planning stage once again.
I thought we were doing mainly near home stuff this summer BUT now dh says "it's Disney time"
Unfortunately I can't just go on-line and book our trip due to wheelchair/ special accommodation needs. So I have to have a list of dates ready and call and talk to a real live person to book our stay at the Magical world of Disney. Usually I book Disney at least 6 months in advance NOT 6 weeks..this could be tricky and really not able to happen.
I will call tomorrow-- wish me luck!
How about the rest of you? Vacations planned?

| I totally understand, Dria! We have to do the same thing. Jason is paralyzed from the waist down so we have to make sure he has a roll-in shower as well. He can use a tub shower as long as he can get in there with his chair. When we booked our cabin for our honeymoon, I called like 3 times to be sure everything was set. We got to the cabin and it had a sliding shower door and Jason wasn't able to transfer to his shower chair. It was horrible. It was advertised as wheelchair accessible and everything!! Once we were there, we couldn't get in touch with anyone. He had to take a "sponge" bath the whole time we were there. He was soooo mad!! So, even if they say it's handicap or wheelchair accessible, it's not sometimes. Good luck today!! Disney will be so much fun!! We are leaving early July 2nd for Savannah, Georgia/Tybee Island. I am so excited. I can't wait. We have always wanted to go to Savannah, Georgia. I am counting down the days!!!! | |

| Actually we will be on vacation from June 30th ~ July 9th. We are taking our nephew Seth to Florida to visit our families (both DH & I have family in Florida). We are staying with my Aunt and Uncle and will be going to Disney. Seth has never been so we are super excited to be taking him!
Not sure if we will be doing anything else this year. I would like to get up to Chicago for the Bears vs. Rams game in September. Both DH and I are life long Chicago Bears fans and I am also a huge fan of James Laurinitis who plays for the Rams (linebacker from Ohio State). I have his jersey from when he was at Ohio State.

I got our trip all set up...Dh decided to make it a day longer than originally planned July 25th - Aug 6th. Beach- Disney-Beach We have only taken short trips since our honeymoon. When I book, I just make sure they have a roll-in shower. We are leaving for Savannah, Georgia/Tybee Island on July 2nd and we are staying at a Hilton Inn and Suites with a roll-in shower. We are both really excited about this trip!!

| I hope you have a fabulous time. When we are on the road we always book Homewood suits by Hilton because of their accessible rooms and roll in shower. | |

The one we are staying in at Savannah is set up like that. They are very nice. Did you have any luck in Disney?
