I bought an ice cream maker!!!!

I think it would be such a fun thing to do with the kids over the summer!

This could be a bad thing for my "girly figure" lol!

Does anyone else have an ice cream maker? This is a new one where you don't have to crank it, it's Cuisinart.

I don't have one, but it does sound like a great thing to do with the kids!! And it's summer...there's supposed to be ice-cream..i think it's good for you;)

We have a White Mountain. It's awesome for larger batches, but not just the 2 of us. My aunt just got a soft icecream machine she keeps on her counter. It is really cool, although I haven't seen it working yet to know how good the icecream is.

Ohhhhhh sweet! We have wanted to buy one for a while! We would most likely make more fro-yo than ice cream (husband is a little on the lactose-intolerant side).

Every time we pass one in the store I look at it longingly LOL! Maybe this summer...

Do not own one, but enjoy yours! My uncle has one and I beg him to make homemade ice cream every time I visit. It is the best and the only ice cream that doesn't make my tummy hurt.

How FUN!! Yes we have an ice cream maker too....the kids love it!

I don't have one yet. Each summer I awear i am going to get one and never do. Maybe you can just make some and send it to me! Wink

I love homemade ice cream. My MIL and my grandmother have one. During the summer, at family gatherings, they make the ice cream. There is never enough.

What is the first flavor you are going to make?

i have one - the electric kind and i love it. i don't use it often enough though! it really makes only enough for two so i'd like a bigger one one day!

Laura! I have the same one....we got the red one. Word to the wise...we bought an extra insert to keep in the freezer so that we could make more then one flavor. There are some pretty good recipes in the little booklet that came with it, especially the plain vanilla recipe. Its delicious. Now you've got me wanting to pull it out of the closet and make ice cream!

Used to have one when I was younger, can remember mum putting it on and waiting for it to be ready, loved the taste of it

I used an older ice cream maker for a function at work and oh my gosh, I almost overloaded the poor motor! It started making the weirdest sounds and I had to call my co-worker to come out and take a look at it since we borrowed it from her. Luckily, in the end all was well! Laughing
