Another Sydney story....

Sydney and I had a little conversation this morning that kinda scared me, so I thought I would share.

Sydney: Mom when I grow up I am going to marry a cute bad boy and have 3 kids, I know you wont like him but he will be cute.

Me: Why would you marry him if I didn't like him?

Sydney: Don't worry mom after I have my babies I will divorce him and marry a real rich nice guy to take care of me and my babies.

Me: Why don't you marry the rich guy first and then you won't have to deal with the bad boy.

Sydney: Now mom where is the fun in that?

Me: Standing with mouth wide open watching my 6 year old walk away....


I swear I could write a book just on things that come out of her mouth. There is not a day that she doesn't come up with something and I look at her and wonder how on earth does a 6 year old come up with half this stuff and then I wonder what planet she is from.

I am sure that I am not the only mommy that has weird conversations with their children, Please tell me that ya'll have stories like these.

well now there's a 6 year old that has it all figured out!
I've had some pretty strange conversations with my 7 yr old... she isn't quite as advanced as that though, she has seen child birth first hand and says it hurts too much so she isn't going thru it

Wow a 6 year old??? That's pretty amazing! Well, you still have time to change her mind about the bad boy! LOL

I don't think she really understands the whole bad boy thing....To her a bad boy is someone who has to pull a green card at school, so she more than likely has a boy at school she likes that has had to pull a card. And i have always told her to marry a nice boy who has a job!

I think it's so cute at that age! The "bad boy" is pulling a green card at school! Their perception at that age is just so sweet! I bet she's a doll!!!

My daughter claims she is NEVER getting married and my son wants kids so he is going to find a wife...have some kids...and then divorce her and just keep the kids....makes my husband and I feel like we are doing a stellar job in modeling what we thought was a healthy marriage.

It's all in how they interrept things at different ages I think. You certainly are not alone!

my 4 yr. old daughter just asked me yesterday when we are going to have a new baby because she wants one and to make it twins.
