Damien grandparents have a lot of those oil paintings ... you know the ones that they use to have parties for
to sell them. They are just sitting in the garage and she offered them up.

At first I said no thanks but got to thinking just how pretty the frames are and how may be they can be reused.

Here are some ideas I found but hook me up if you know of any more !

I am in the process of making a chalkboard out of an old vintage frame that I found in my gram's attic!
I had my brother cut an oval board to fit into it and I'm going to spraypaint the board with chalkboard paint. I'm going to take pix when I'm done and blog about it... soon!

I forget about that chalk board paint....huummm

love the idea of little doorknobs/hooks within a frame!!

and the chalkboard paint idea...cool!!! i got a fun frame for Christmas with the chalkboard inside..i still need to put it up. daughter in law and son got it for me from Pier1

I have been wanting to make a framed chalkboard for quite some time. I haven't found the right frame to use yet, so I can't wait to see your Andrea....

And Norma, I totally love that frame with the colored hooks on it! I love seeing smaller frames inside a huge frame too, very cool!! My husband doesn't get it though. Hmphf!
