I hate going to ER's

Don't you just hate the time that is just eaten up sitting at the emergency room!
I ended up having to take my mom there today because she fell down the stairs at her house yesterday. She was having a lot of problems with her leg today and so we first went to Urgent Care but they wouldn't see her because of a possible blood clot, so sent us to ER.

She ended up being fine but my goodness! Everything is an hour wait in between. An hour to get into a room, another hour to see a doctor, another hour for the x-rays, another hour for the ultrasound, another hour for the doctor to come in and tell you everything is fine and he's sending you home, then another hour to wait for the discharge papers! I ended up spending my entire day at the ER!

There goes everything I wanted to get done today! I'm so glad my mom is fine and I'm glad I was here to go with her but my goodness, isn't there a quicker way? LOL

Oh no. Gosh it is the worst but I am so glad she is okay. Blood clots are scary.

We are lucky. The two times we were there over the past few years we got in right away b/c we live in a small town.

So glad to hear your mom is okay Sheri. I think sometimes the ER wait can be more painful then the injury!

SO glad your mom is okay. The few times we've had to go to an ER there hasn't been a wait....one of the perks of living in a small town!

Oh she's fine! Thanks for asking Ellen. It was just some major bruising but she's getting back to her normal self now. She just panics when something happens and thinks of all the possibilities that could be wrong....I told her she reads to many web md stories!!!

I'm glad your mom is doing fine! She's so lucky to have you close to take her to the ER, even if it took up your whole day!
