Your camera?

So what type of camera do you use? This has probably been asked before but scrolling though it would have been a long time ago..

I'll start..

I have used slr forever I went to a Canon d-slr EOS-XSi way back in 2009. I upgraded last fall.
Now I have a Canon 60D and my lens of choice is a 24-105 f/4 "L" by Canon.
When I upgraded the camera I decided no to a kit lens and went with a high end lens--it was worth it (to me)

When I go to concerts and that type of thing I use a Panasonic Lumix FZ-35...light weight and good in low light.

I have a Canon 50D! I am a Canon girl, love my Canon. I have a 50mm 1.4 which is my absolute favorite lens.

Lately though I have been using my iPhone for soooo many of my everyday photos. Instagram photos are some of my favs lately. Except when I compare them to my Canon photos, I wonder why I don't take more with my Canon because the difference is, of course, out of this world!!!

Oh Sheri--funny about phone pics! I just got a new phone and the sales girls was trying to sell me on one because of it's camera! I said--buying a phone NOT a camera.... I have a little point and shoot and even though it has high meg pix it isn't close to the 60D quality and they leave me flat.
Break out that 50D and take some pictures! You even have a terrific lens!

It's so true! And I always said I'd never be one of those people using a phone as their camera. But I have to admit the quality is really pretty good and I've grabbed way more everyday shots with that than I ever would have with my big Canon. So I know I'll always have my phone camera to use but I still can't resist pulling out the Canon to get those really awesome shots! There just no comparison is there!

I have the Canon Rebel T2i and I love it! I have the 18-55 and the 55-250 lens, along with a 1.8 50mm. I'd love to get the 1.4.

Maybe we need some photography challenges on here to get people shooting?

Photography challenges would be awesome! Is anyone following these monthly challenges from @Fatmumslim?
I've been attempting to keep up and it's really helped me get out of my box and get some photos I might not usually get. I am also using the "my365" app to keep them all.



Might be fun to start a monthly photo thread so everyone can share their pics? What do you think? Are you game?

I have a Sony Alpha 300 -- and an iPhone4S. I carry my phone everywhere, so thats where most of my snapshots come from.

But I take the camera out on special outings.

~ i use a nikon d40, but will be upgrading soon (it's old & getting cranky) - i've been studying the reviews on the nikon d3100 & am very tempted -

~ i'd love a photography challenge - more reason to take more pix!

This is one area where my husband and I just don't seem to agree. I have been asking for a new camera for about two years now. I want to get a true digital SLR that I can change the lenses on. But he says we don't need to spend a $1,000 or more on a camera.

Currently I have a Minolta with two lenses and an attachable flash, but its film and about 12 years old! And then I have a cheap Kodak point and shoot that is about 6 years old. My husband says the Kodak works just fine and I don't need anything else. I have noticed that it is starting to have focus issues.

Oh how I wish I could get a new camera!! Of course I really have no idea what I would get right now if he would even say yes. There are just so many to choose from.
