Could use a few prayers, please... (Cyber hugs welcome, too!)

Hello Ladies, I don't usually come here to ask this sort of thing, but I've got a special request, please. It's kind of two-fold: 1) We have to travel to Cincinnati Children's Hospital on Thursday for my son to have surgery there on Friday. If the results of his procedure are not good, the doctor will want us to remove almost all foods from his diet. SO hoping the results are good! And 2) Now my son has a cold So does one of my other boys. Normally a cold isn't a big deal, but it's really hard to know if we should make the long trip and then be unsure of having the procedure done. Naturally the hospital will not let him have the procedure if he doesn't seem well enough, but it's still so hard to decide what to do. He's already skipped school all this week just to avoid germs/illness, and now he's coughing and is stuffy... I'm just feeling really stressed and worried, and so is he this time (he's old enough now to really know what will be going on, and he's dreading it - My poor boy!) Sorry so long! Anyway, if you don't mind keeping us in your prayers, I'd be so appreciative. Many thanks!

Thanks so much, Ladies! Norma, his name is Harrison and he is 9. (Kind of tough for him, esp. now that he knows the drill!) He's happy and playing today, but I just need to make the call about going with a stuffy nose and cough. That's not good with anesthesia... Yet it usually takes about 2-4 months to get rescheduled. Oh well... SO appreciate the good thoughts and prayers!! Many thanks!!

ANd sorry - when I said "Oh well" - please know I'm not taking this lightly at all. It's more of an "oh well" to myself that means: OH WELL, PUT ON YOUR BIG GIRL PANTIES AND DEAL! BECAUSE YOU HAVE TO! AND REMEMBER TO BE A BRAVE GIRL!!!

Oh Tracy, that is huge. I would call up the dr you are going to see and tell him exactly the situation and let it be his call. That is why you are paying them.

I hope he feels better and you're able to go ahead with the surgery. Keeping you and your family in my prayers!

Oh, you guys are great! Thank you for the encouragement, prayers and positive thoughts! I've just finished packing and we're set to leave first thing in the morning for Ohio. Harrison's still a little stuffy, but we'll let the professionals in Cincy make the call... I'll update you guys next week. Hugs!
