Need some prayers/positive energy for friend...

I have a friend that had a stroke yesterday and is in critical condition. She is in her 30's and has two small children. Any prayers and positive energy you could offer up would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, friends.

Sherry- sorry to her about your friend. Of course I will keep her in my prayers. I work for a group of neurologists and whenever we see someone young it's pretty scary and really puts life in perspective. Hopefully her doctors can find out the cause, get her stable, and she will make full recovery. Remember God is the all powerful healer and miracles do happen.

Thank you, Kim & Rebecca! It was terrible; she dropped her daughter off for art lessons and passed out on the way to her car. A passerby saw her & called 911. She actually had surgery last night.

I received an email this morning, stating that there were some encouraging signs through the night but they are still cautious. I'll keep you posted. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers, you're the best!

This scares me big time. I just had my blood pressure checked and it was at
a stroke level.... 189

I have been trying super hard to bring it down and it is now at 133

Ohhh how sad for her family !!!!!

Just got an update: She is able to communicate (somewhat) and has been able to see her children. I'm sure that alone has lifted her spirits. Thank you all for your prayers!

Sherry, I am very very sorry to hear this about your friend, and I will surely say some prayers for her for her strength and recovery! Our own Joyce (Ashjoy) here, has also gone through this herself, so perhaps when she's around and sees this she can message you some helpful information, Sherry!

Thank you, Andrea! I remember reading that about Joyce; I'm sure I will have some questions for her. It's good to know someone with a great outcome!

Sherry I am so sorry for your friend but am so glad she has some positive news.

I am currently in the same situation. We found out the night before last my Grandma had a stroke during the surgery so we are currently trying to see what the effects are. She's had a pretty rough couple days.

Your friend is definitely in my prayers. she's so young. I would love her address too.

Sorry to hear that about your grandma, Renee! I'll pray for her.

My grandpa and my MIL both suffered a stroke that left them paralyzed on the right side. I know it can take a long time before they find out how much damage has been done. Renee, I hope you grandma pulls through, she remains in my prayers!

Thank you, Lori! I just want to share a sweet (although tear jerking) moment with you. My DD and her DD are in class together and their whole class made her a big heart card. When Alison (my friend) read it, she was so happy. As her DD was leaving the hospital room, Alison couldn't communicate very well, so she took the card and pointed to herself, then held up the heart card and then pointed to her DD to tell her that she loves her.

I know cards from your children would mean so much to her!

We did get a good report yesterday, she's able to speak (although labored and slurred) and she was able to dial her dad's cell phone. I believe she will be out of ICU this week!

OK, that made me cry! I'm so happy to hear about her progress, what a miracle! God is good!
